Cape Cod Hospital Opens Mugar Buidling
Phase 1 construction is complete for the Marian G. and Stephen P. Mugar Building at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. In December, patients are scheduled to move into the 60 private rooms. Rooms have a private bath, flat-screen TV, staff work area, and couch that opens into a bed to accommodate an overnight visitor. The hospital's emergency center handles more than twice that state average of emergency visits per inpatient bed. Phase 2, when complete, will add an additional 60 rooms. Heart Defibrillation Equipment to be Provided Where Needed
Connecting Hearts of Orleans, an organization committed to educating the public in the value of early defibrillation in events of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, received approval from the IRS to acquire donations to provide Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and CPR training to under-served communities. Beginnig with Cape Cod, Connecting Hearts has plans to expand state-wide, nationally and ultimately internationally. 6th Annual LUNAfest Film Festival
The Healthy Living Guide brings eicht award-winning films to Cape Cod Community College by, for and about women. This noational platform for emerging women filmmakers to share their stories is produced by LUNA, the whole nutiriiton bar for women. Portion of proceeds to benefit the Breast Cancer Fund. Fundraiser for Lower Cape Outreach Council
Welstar Essential Wellness Day Spa will set up a tree to be decorated with "wishing stars" to benefit the Lower Cape Outreach Council. The tree will be up from Nov. 24 to Dec. 23. Carmen's Day Spa Grand Opening
The grand opening wil be in December at Cotuit Landing, 3878 Falmouth Road, in marstons Mills.
